A Woman Has Died In A House Fire In Limerick Today

A woman in her 20s has died in a house fire in County Limerick today.

The tragic incident took place in Annacotty in the early hours of this morning, with local fire services responding to the fire at 3.20am.

According to The Irish Times, the body of a woman in her late 20s was discovered in an upstairs bedroom in the house in Riverbank and was later removed to University Hospital Limerick.

There were four other people in the house at the time of the blaze but all escaped uninjured.

An investigation into the cause of the fire has been launched.
