A Young Irish Woman Has Died While Holidaying In Croatia

A 20-year-old woman from Co. Down has died whilst on holiday in Croatia after she reportedly suffered a cardiac arrest outside a nightclub on the island of Hvar.

Belfast Live reports that Sarah Lee-Anne Reid was holidaying in the area when the incident occurred on Friday May 26th and doctors were unable to revive her.

Local police in Split, Croatia, say they are investigating her death but a spokesperson for the PSNI said that  “can find no record of police receiving a request for assistance from the Croatian authorities”.

Local reports suggest she was drinking alcohol before she passed away, but no further details have been confirmed.
