Following a series of allegations regarding Porter’s “sexual misconduct” back in November, the 24-year-old decided to take a break from his radio slot.
The comedian hasn’t spoken publicly since before Christmas. However, he told the Irish Daily Star that he wishes Muireann the best as she takes on the role.
He said: “The minute I saw the news I texted Today FM‘s station manager Adellle to tell Muireann I think she’ll be great and wish her the best.”
“I wasn’t asked to resign from any of my jobs, I took that step away myself, facing the very serious claims made.”
He added: “There are no hard feelings.”
