A man in his 80s has been killed following a road collision in the early hours of this morning.
According to the Irish Independent, the man was involved in an incident on the N60 at Logatemple, Co. Mayo around 1am Saturday morning.
It’s understood that the driver and passenger of the car are uninjured.
The road has since been closed to allow for investigations to take place, and diversions have been put in place between Claremorris and Balla.
Gardaí are urging any witnesses or people with information to come forward.
