An elderly man has been found dead in Dublin Airport this morning.
According to the Irish Independent, the man’s body was discovered in a bathroom in Terminal 1 shortly after 11am.
The man is believed to be in his 70s. His death is not being treated as suspicious.
Siobhan O’Donnell from the DAA spoke to Lovin Dublin:
”[I] can confirm that a gentleman passed away in Arrivals Hall, T1. Gardai in attendance who confirmed death not suspicious. Happened around 11.15 this morning.”
Another spokesperson for the DAA has come forward and said:
“It’s sad, We’ve saved 26 lives thanks to our defibrillator programme in the past number of years so it’s really sad to hear this because he was on his own.”
