An Urgent Recall Has Been Issued For This Children’s Toy

A well-known Dublin venue has issued an urgent recall of a children’s toy that was given out to children at a Christmas event.

Airfield Estate in Dundrum is recalling the ‘Lil Frog & Lil Frog Lily Pad’ toy, asking that people return it immediately due to a design defect with the batteries which could cause a safety issue if the battery cap is removed.

In a statement, Airfield Estate said: “We have however been assured in writing by our Irish supplier through their UK distributor that the toys (and batteries) in question had been checked and no faults were detected.”

Airfield added: “While this is useful to know we felt it was important to make you aware of the situation and as a precautionary measure, we would like to ask you to return the Lil Frog & Lil Frog Lily Pad without opening the battery cap to Airfield Estate and we will replace it with an alternative gift.”

Anyone who received one of the toys is urged to drop it in to the kiosk at the venue, and will receive a new gift instead.

The toy can also be posted back to the venue and Airfield Estate will then send you out a replacement gift and cover the postage cost.

Airfield Estate are also offering a free family pass to make a visit in 2018 to anyone who returns the toy to them.
