Aslan's Pat Fitzpatrick Passes Away Following Battle With Cancer

Sad news this evening as Aslan keyboard player Pat 'Fitzy' Fitzpatrick has passed away at the age of 60.

The popular musician had been battling cancer for some time and bandmate Chrisy Dignam today paid tribute to him, saying “it’s wasn’t just music, Fitzy was a lovely human being. He played with such feeling".

Fitzpatrick served as musical director on RTÉ's The Late Late Show, as well as playing with several other bands including Katmandu,Something Happens and The Blades.
