A number of pubs around the country were awarded top prizes at the Irish Pub Awards last night.
Honours including Irish Pub of the Year and Best Local Pub of the Year were given out, taking into account things like innovation, creativity, ambiance, operational excellence and customer service.
So if you’re looking for some new spots to try out around the country, these are the ones you should be adding to your bucket list…
The prestigious Pub of the Year prize went to The Glyde Inn in Co Louth, who also picked up the Best Food Pub of the Year award.

Brian Barrett at Geary’s Bar was named Best Pub Personality of the Year and another Cork pub, Franciscan Well Brewpub, was crowned the Best Outdoor Space of the Year.
The Best Music Pub of the Year went to Warehouse Bar and Kitchen in Letterkenny, Co Donegal.
A number of Dublin pubs also picked up a top award – Kenny’s Pub in Lucan won the prestigious Best Local Pub of the Year.

The Two Sisters Pub in Terenure was also named Innovative Pub of the Year and Sandyford House was named the Best Newcomer.
