The body of a 67-year-old man has been found at the side of a road in Cork, the Irish Independent reports.
The discovery was made at around 9.30am on Sunday morning on the Castlecor to John’s Bridge at Ballybane in Liscarroll.
Gardaí are investigating the incident and are appealing for witnesses who may have been in the area between 10pm last night and 10am this morning to contact them at Mallow Garda Station on 022 31450, the Garda Confidential Telephone Line 1800 666 111, or any Garda Station.
The scene has been closed off for a technical examination.
