Ireland and Newcastle United footballer Ciaran Clark was rushed to hospital after being knocked unconscious in a bar attack.
According to the Irish Sun, he was punched in the face by a man in a Magaluf bar and was taken to Son Espases Hospital.
The suspect was arrested and released on bail. A criminal investigation is ongoing and the suspect will appear in court on Monday.
A local paper in Magaluf, Ultima Hora, said the incident happened at around 2 am on Saturday morning in Magaluf’s Crystal Bar.
They described the attacker as a 6ft 2in, well-built, foreigner.
It’s reported that Clark got into a row with a man after complaining he pushed him on the dance floor.
