One of the most anticipated bouts in combat sports history looks a step closer this morning as Conor McGregor has confirmed he has signed up to fight Floyd Mayweather.
Speculation has been rife over the past 12 months or so that the fight would take place at some point and it now looks like we just need Mayweather to sign on the dotted line to make it happen.
The Notorious told TheMacLife.com:
“It is an honour to sign this record breaking deal alongside my partners Zuffa LLC, The Ultimate Fighting Championship and Paradigm Sports Management.''
“The first, and most important part of this historic contract has now officially been signed off on. Congratulations to all parties involved. We now await Al Haymon and his boxer’s signature in the coming days.”
