‘Bright And Breezy’ – It Looks Like Next Week’s Weather Will Be A Big Improvement On This Week

James Fenton

Storm Callum, we hardly knew ye.

He rolled into Ireland this week, causing some minor destruction is some areas and little more than a whimper in others. Still, he brought a lot of rain with him and that’s something we’d like to see a lot less of in these here parts.

Luckily, there won’t be much of that in the coming week, according to the weather experts at Met Éireann. The sunshine throughout Sunday appears to be an indication of what’s to come, with Monday set to be ‘mostly sunny with light variable breezes’. Tuesday will then see rain at first, before some dry spells and some heavy rain later that night. Uh oh.

It’s not all bad. Wednesday will be ‘bright and breezy with a lot of dry weather’ while Thursday will be ‘dry across the country and mild and breezy overnight.’

Early indications for next weekend suggest that there will be ‘changeable weather’ but sure that’s pretty standard for Ireland, says you.
