Irish dog charity, MADRA, is looking for people who can help foster puppies that have recently ended up in their care.
The volunteer-run charity in Galway is dedicated to finding homes for unwanted and abandoned doggos.
They’ve put a call out on their Facebook and Twitter pages asking for people to help foster their puppies in an effort to help prepare them for adoption.
We are bursting at the seams with puppies at the moment and are in need of puppy fosterers who can help us keep these bundles of joy out of our kennels. Although puppy fostering involves lots of cleaning up, they will repay you in cuddles and love ????❤️???? https://t.co/0tR6wyPj1P pic.twitter.com/wxLD89iBet

The post reads, “We are bursting at the seams with puppies at the moment and are in need of puppy fosterers who can help us keep these bundles of joy out of our kennels. Our puppy fosterers help prepare our pups for the world that awaits them and as well as this, being at the kennels increases their risk of contracting potentially fatal illnesses. Although puppy fostering involved lots of cleaning up, our little darlings will repay you in cuddles and love.
As a puppy fosterer you will need to be at home for most of the day and ideally, we would like you to be able to commit to fostering for 2 weeks.
We are particularly interested in hearing from anyone who:
– has previously fostered.
– has experience with puppies.
– has experience bottle feeding.
– is available immediately.
If you think you can help, please fill in a foster questionnaire and a member of the team will get back to you. If you’d like to help but are new to the process, you’re also welcome to apply! MADRA will support you as best as we can as you learn to be a puppy fosterer!”
How can you say no to those little faces?
While fostering a puppy is a very big responsibility and not something to be taken lightly, it is a very rewarding thing to do.
It can also help you decide if you would be able to take on a doggo full time.
If you think you could provide a pup with a lovely home while they learn about the world, then please get in touch with Madra.
