RTÉ has released exclusive footage from CCTV of the moment that an explosive device was thrown at Gerry Adams’ house on Friday night.
Gerry Adams confirmed on his Twitter account that nobody was hurt in the attacks and he thanked all his “great neighbours, the Neighbourhood Watch & Sinn Féin reps who were here very quickly.”
The attack was described as a cowardly act by “desperate and irrelevant groups”.
In a statement, Sinn Féin confirmed that Adams’ grandchildren were in the driveway just minutes before this had happened.
