Cobh café bans students at lunchtime following ‘continuous misbehaviour’

Katy Thornton

“It is necessary to ensure our customers a nice and quiet lunch break.”

The Tasty Corner have had enough and they’re putting their foot down. The Cobh café took to Facebook to ban students from the premises during lunch hours due to the “continuous misbehaviour of some kids.”

In their post The Tasty Corner said,

Sorry there now but it is necessary to ensure our customers a nice and quiet lunch break.”

This means that during their lunch hours, students cannot sit inside, outside, and they also cannot avail of takeaway from the café.

The comments are divided when it comes to the café’s decision to ban students. While one Facebook user said “I’m sure it wasn’t an easy decision to make but you have to look after your customers needs” another called it “total discrimination.”

The Tasty Corner haven’t responded to these comments. We can only imagine they were dealing with serious anti-social behaviour to have made such a decision.
