The sun is still very much shining around the country but those who were up early this morning probably would have felt a bit of a bite in the air. A sure sign that autumn is coming.
As we all contemplate where we last left our scarves and gloves, Met Éireann has revealed the places in Ireland where the lowest temperatures were recorded this morning.
The coldest was at Mount Dillon in Dublin (2.1 degrees) followed by Grange in Sligo (2.8). Just above these two were Gurteen in Tipperary (3.1), Ballyhaise in Cavan (3.3) and Markree in Sligo (3.4).
The five lowest minimum temperatures measured at our weather stations this morning were at Mount Dillon (2.1), Grange (2.8), Gurteen (3.1), Ballyhaise (3.3) and Markree (3.4).
