The army bomb disposal team were called in yesterday after fishermen discovered an ‘explosive device’ nearby.
The device, which was later confirmed to be a World War II mine, was discovered off the coast of Kinsale, Co. Cork yesterday.
The Kinsale yacht club Harbour Master issued a warning to locals following the discovery, though thankfully the area has since been declared safe.
