The visitor centre is set to close after seven years.

The Daniel O’Donnell Visitor Centre in Dungloe, County Donegal will close as the building the centre was housed in has been sold off.

The Stepping Stone Bar and Bank Bistro was home to the museum which displayed memorabilia about the Irish singer, awards he won, stage outfits he wore and wedding outfits both Daniel and Majella wore on their special day.

In the seven years the centre has been open, it has reportedly had more than 50,000 visitors.

Promoter of the Daniel O’Donnell visitor centre, Pat Gallagher, said he has had multiple offers from other venues hoping to house the collection.
