PIC: Irish Rugby Player’s Lovely Gesture To Fans Is Truly Heartwarming

Darragh Berry

When you think of Devin Toner, you think of an absolute beast of a man.

The 32-year-old is almost reaching for the clouds he’s that tall and his large, almost 20 stone physique is 100% muscle.

The second row, Leinster and Ireland star has won countless trophies on the pitch but off it, he has done something amazing for fans of both his club and country.

Toner took to Instagram on Wednesday to announce that he was donating a large chunk of his professional rugby gear to St Vincent De Paul in Maynooth.

Only downside is, most of the clothes are going to be massive but hey, it’d be well worth wearing a jersey like a dress when you know that it once touched the shoulders of one the greatest Irish players to play the game…

He said in the post: “Anyone looking for some Leinster & Ireland gear and want to do a good deed I’ve just dropped this lot into St Vincent De Paul in Maynooth, on the Main Street. Mostly 2XL.”

The post was getting a lot of reaction with people admitting that they would be stopping off after work to “have a look” or tagging friends and family members to see if any of the clothes would possibly fit them.

It’s some gesture, fair play Devin.
