Do You Know What Time You Actually Need To Go To Sleep At Each Night?

Sarah

Snooze. Alarm. Snooze. Repeat.

The soundtrack to our mornings never gets easier, and we’re always wrecked. Okay sure, maybe we would have more energy if we didn’t stay up to catch up on The Handmaid’s Tale, but a gals gotta do what a gals gotta do.

Except that now there’s a handy sleep time calculator which will tell you what time you need to sleep in order to feel refreshed and ready to rise ‘n’ shine in the AM.

Created by a blinds company, the sleep calculator works out your cycles of sleep (each lasts 90 minutes, and includes four stages of non-rapid eye movement (NREM) sleep and one stage of rapid eye movement (REM)), and it’s when you disrupt one of these cycles that you feel the worst waking up.

For example, if you’ve to wake up at 8am, the calculator recommends that you go to sleep at 10:46pm, 12:16am, 1:46am or 3:16am.

We’re yawning writing this right now. Best figure out tonight’s bedtime…
