"Nah, I'll just get my own drink don't worry". Is there anything more annoying than that one mate who doesn't get involved in the round in the pub?
Sure, we get it - rounds aren't cheap and you end up drinking more than you prob would have otherwise. But goddammit they're part of our Irish pub traditions.
You feel like the people's champion when it's your turn in the round and you can bestow glistening pints upon all your thirsty friends. It must be how Jesus felt when he turned all the water into wine. Paycheck = pints.
But if you HATE rounds... You might actually be more likely to be a psychopath
A 2010 study published in Neuropsychologia found that in economic games, psychopaths are the least generous.
Amy Morin, author of 13 Things Mentally Strong People Don't Do, told UNILAD: "People who are agreeable expect others to reciprocate and behave cooperatively. But psychopaths don't expect that from others. So they may expect to be taken advantage of if they go in on a round of drinks.
"They may be less likely to buy a round of drinks because they don't trust others or because they fear being taken advantage of by other people."
Ooops. We better just jump in on the round next time, so...
