Driving Tonight? Met Éireann Have Issued This Weather Warning

Alana Laverty

It’s no secret that the weather around us is getting gradually worse by the day.

We can feel it in our bones, in our homes and in the thirty layers of clothing we’ve wrapped around ourselves.

And unfortunately it’s only gonna get worse.

Met Éireann have issued this warning:

Here’s what else is in store for tonight:

Tonight will be cold once again with frost, ice and freezing fog returning. The fog is likely to become widespread and dense locally. Dry otherwise apart from a few wintry showers on the northwest and possibly the east coast. Light variable breezes in many areas tonight, but in southern and eastern coastal counties a fresh and gusty northeasterly will develop later tonight. Lowest temperatures zero to – 3 degrees.

Wrap up and avoid the roads if you can at all.

Don’t make any unnecessary journeys.
