Gmail users should be aware of dangerous new scam that is currently doing the rounds that allows hackers to access details on your account.
This is how the scam works: hackers break into someone’s email account, screenshot attachments sent by that account, then send them to people on that account’s contact list. When the recipients of the email try to open its attachment a new tab is automatically opened with a realistic-looking login page (complete with similar URL) for Gmail.
Once your login details have been entered, the hackers now possess them also.
Speaking to Metro, security experts are calling this one of the most sophisticated email attacks they’ve ever seen. Keep an eye out for it.
