Another biopic, this time about ‘Hudson Hero’, Chelsey ‘Sully’ Sullenberg. After landing a passenger plane in the Hudson River, questions arise as to whether the plane could have gotten back to a nearby airport instead. Battling against PTSD, Sully tries to save his reputation and his job.

Starring Tom Hanks, Aaron Eckhart and Laura Linney. Directed by Clint Eastwood.

Reason to watch: Tom Hanks knocks it out of the park as the title character.

Edge of Seventeen

A coming of age film, looking at how awful it is to be a teenager. Seventeen year-old Nadine’s life can’t seem to get any worse until her best friend starts dating her older, popular brother. She seeks out counsel from a sarcastic teacher.

Starring Hailee Steinfeld, Woody Harrelson and Kyra Sedgewick.

Reason to watch: It’s gotten incredible reviews, looks hilarious and Steinfeld even secured a Golden Globe nomination for her performance.

Moana

The newest Disney film. Polynesian princess Moana travels to find demi-god Maui in order to save her island from destruction.

Starring Auli'i Cravalho, Dwayne Johnson, Nicole Scherzinger and Alan Tudyk.

Reason to watch: It’s another fantastic Disney movie. Do you need another reason?

Arrivals

Alien ships begin landing on Earth, and no one knows if they want war. Linguist Louise Banks is recruited to try and figure out how to communicate with the aliens in order to stop the destruction of the planet.

Rogue One

One of the three highly-anticipated Star Wars prequels. The rebels are trying to stand up to the Empire, but their very existence is being threatened by the Death Star. Jyn Erso and a band of recruits set out to get the plans so that they can destroy the weapon.
