If you're been yearning to take that dream trip but don't want to use up all those precious holiday days, you're going to love this.

Some genius has figured out that you could enjoy a lengthy 18-day holiday in 2017 by cleverly using nine of your holiday leave days.

According to The Liverpool Echo, Good Friday falls on April 14 next year and is followed by Easter Monday on April 17 and the May Bank Holiday.

If you book your holidays from Thursday April 13 to Tuesday May 2, your break will encompass three bank holidays and six weekend days - leaving just nine days that you have to take off from work.

Christmas is similarly prosperous, as it falls on a Monday and is followed by St Stephen's Day on the Tuesday.

So, you'll only need to book three days of work and you'll end up with nine days off - when you take the following weekend and New Year's Day into account.

Looks like 2017 going to be a great one!
