Irish Eurovision Winner Appeals For Return Of Stolen Trophy

katedemolder

As a country, Ireland has had a pretty good Eurovision run.

And while in recent times, the singing contest hasn’t really gone our way – The Emerald Isle is still sitting pretty at the top spot of the Eurovision-winning countries list with an impressive seven wins claimed over the years.

One of those wins was, of course, Johnny Logan way back in 1980 with ‘What’s Another Year?’ written by the incomparable Mr Shay Healy.

However, all’s not well in Eurovision land.

Shay Healy took to Facebook to announce that his ”clear plastic multi layered ornament” trophy has been stolen from his home in County Mayo. Check out his story below.

Mr Healy, clearly distressed about his stolen goods and his take on the worrying youth culture that surrounds the crime, ended his speech with:

”And if you find yourself passing by you can drop back my trophy no questions asked.”

There you have it, no questions asked.

Do you know the song contest culprit?
