We’ve covered the best places in Dublin to get the ride before and, with that list having helped connect thousands of people, we thought we’d have a look around the rest of the Island.
We’ve done all the hard work for you, so there should be absolutely no excuse now.
Feel free to add any of your own picks to the list in the comments – you’ll be doing the public a truly important service.
1. Kinsale Rugby 7s Festival
All the ingredients are there – particularly if the sun shines. Throw in a huge social scene around the event and you’re laughing.
2. Hole In The Wall, Galway
In a city full of great nightlife, music and people wanting to have a good time, it’s tough to limit it to one place – but this is the spot really, isn’t it.

3. Hayes Hotel, Thurles
Iit’s located in the heart of Tipperary, with people coming from all over the county and beyond to mingle on its sticky dancefloors.
Best chances, naturally, are on any night when Tipp have just won a hurling match – and given their recent form, there should be plenty such opportunities this summer.

4. The Icon, Limerick
Easily the best place in the city for this ‘kind of thing’ – and they come from far and wide to do just that.
5. The Anchor, Bellmullet
A proper rural nightclub where they come from miles around to drink, hook up and generally have a good time.

6. Whelan’s, Dublin
Top of our Dublin list and a must-visit if you’re in the capital and looking for lovin’. Dark corners, excellent live music and lots of young single folk.
7. The Wright Venue, Swords
A huge heaving nightclub that’s packed every single weekend. A beacon for fun-lovers all over North County Dublin.
8. The Imperial, Cavan
Well known all over the county, this place is perfect if you want to find a good time and the person of your dreams (well, for a night anyway).

9. Panti Bar, Dublin
The Queen of Ireland knows how to get people to let their hair down. A Mecca for the LGBT community in Ireland and a great place to score.
10. The Galway Races
Some go for the horses, some go to ‘persuade’ their local representatives to let them build apartment blocks over kids’ playgrounds – but most go to the week-long festival to party, enjoy the nightlife and meet people.

11. Time Nightclub, Naas
It’s been known as one of the top places to get the ride for years. Music, booze and magic.
12. Pretty much anywhere in Carrick-On-Shannon, Leitrim
The hen and stag party capital of Ireland. Throw in lots of locals, tonnes of bars and nightclubs, and you’ve have plenty of options.
13. Any Supermacs at 3am
Especially if you’re into that whole taco fries smell. Sure it is what it is.

14. Toffs Nightclub, Sligo
This nightclub has it all. You cannot fail.
15. Courtown, Wexford
Half of Dublin piles into this little village during the summer looking for a good time. A bit like Marbella, but less glamorous. Chances of hooking up for a holiday romance are high.
16. Lisdoonvarna Matchmaking Festival
Well, obviously.
17. NuBar, DCU
You’ll want to be young enough in here, but the chances of hooking up are ever in your favour.

18. Hillgrove, Dingle
There’s something about the air in this beautiful village that always makes it feel magical. Join the locals and tourists at the end of the night for some partnering up.
19. Sophie’s, Dublin
The place to go if you’re looking for a particularly classy ride in the Big Shmoke.
20. The Foundry, Carlow
A town with a student population who are always up for going out – The Foundry is the hottest spot around.
21. Carlingford, Louth
People come from north and south of the border just to party and have an all round good time here.
Get in there.
