WATCH: A Mid-Air Fight Causes Malta-Bound Plane To Divert

katedemolder

An inbound flight from Brussels was rerouted to Pisa last night, after a fight broke out between passengers.

The Ryanair flight was scheduled to land in Malta at 11:10pm, but had to divert and land in Italy after an onboard scuffle with what eyewitnesses are claiming to be a drunk passenger. Upon landing, four passengers were removed from flight FR 2906.

Eyewitnesses ”were worried [the drunk passengers] would open the door” and during the incident ”one air hostess got slapped in the face”.

A Ryanair spokesperson had this to say about the incident:

This flight from Brussels to Malta (3 Nov) diverted to Pisa after a number of passengers became disruptive inflight. The aircraft landed normally and four passengers were removed and detained by police upon arrival, before the aircraft continued to Malta. We will not tolerate unruly or disruptive behaviour at any time and the safety and comfort of our customers, crew and aircraft is our number one priority. This is now a matter for local police.

Big thanks to Thomas Engerer for the video.
