Mourning the loss of two well-known local fishermen, one Galway café is honouring their memory by fundraising for the RNLI.

Two well-known members of the Galway area, the loss of Tom and Martin Oliver has rocked the local community in recent days with news of the men's passing being met with an outpouring of love and support for those that knew them.

Grieving the sad passing of "two lovely customers", one Galway café has made a lovely gesture in their honour and will donate all profits from the sale of their signature pink bags to the Royal National Lifeboat Institution.

"We lost two lovely customers today. We will miss them at table number 3 in the mornings in Salthill. May their gentle souls rest in peace.

"In memory of Martin and Tom who, together, watched the sunrise over Claddagh in Gourmet Tart Raven terrace (with an Americano and a splash of soy)...we will donate all profits from the sales of our pink bags to RNLI. Help us raise €1000. #gourmettart #rnli #claddaghgalway"

One of the oldest fishing families in the area, many have served as lifeboat volunteers throughout the ages and so the money couldn't go to a better cause.
