Gardaí Warn Of Fake €50 Notes In Circulation

If you've got your hands on a €50 note in recent days, it be worth giving it a thorough once-over. 

Gardaí in the south of the country have warned the public that a number of counterfeit €50 notes being used in Limerick and surrounding areas.

Given that the bill has been given a makeover recently, people have been reminded to keep an eye out for certain distinguishing features such as the correct watermark, security thread, hologram patch and raised print as per the images below. 

The warning was issued on Friday so be sure to be aware and spread the word amongst your mates.
