They say being a Gardaí is a thankless job.
Well, consider this a sincere thank you from everyone who’s ever been safely carted home by a competent and registered taxi driver.
Gardaí took to Twitter last night to announce that they’d caught yet another fake taxi driver, and towed their car away in an attempt to make our streets safer.

The tweet says:
”Bogus taxi driver has car seized by joint DMR Traffic/NTA team. Driver unlicensed with no insurance. Court to follow.”
Unlicenced. No insurance.
Upon stepping into this car, someone who simply was just looking to pay for a lift home has unfortunately placed themselves in some pretty serious danger.
Let this be a warning to be more vigilant upon hopping into any old cab.
