The Gardaí have today launched a new 24 hour helpline for victims of child sexual abuse.
The freephone number, which is set to be manned 365 days a year, aims to provide callers with a place to report crimes of this nature.
The confidential line can be reached at 1850 555 222.
In conjunction with the launch, the Gardaí have also released a guide on the options available to people wishing to report child sexual abuse and sexual crime which can be viewed here.
