Great News — ‘Wide Sunny Spells’ Today Ahead Of Bright Weekend

James Fenton

After the wind, sleet and snow over the past few days, it looks like we’re going to going for circle with a whole year’s worth of weather in one week. Because Ireland.

Met Éireann have good news for us today as they are forecasting:

“Sunny spells developing quite widely this afternoon, with any lingering showers becoming well scattered. Afternoon temperatures will reach 9 or 10 degrees with moderate to fresh north to northeasterly winds gradually easing.”

Absolutely fantastic.

As we head towards the weekend, Friday will be a dry and mainly sunny day with temperatures reaching between 10 and 14 degrees. Great news for those attending the big match at the Aviva tomorrow night.

The weekend brings more good weather, as Met Éireann predict that:

“The weather will become dry and settled for the weekend and for the extended outlook period. Good sunshine is indicated for most days and the nights will be generally clear, but there will be cloud at times, with maybe a little patchy light rain or drizzle, on Monday.”

Could it be that we can finally close our winter wardrobe and keep it shut? Probably not but we’ll keep you posted.
