Pretty much everyone in the country tuned into yesterday’s nail-biting game.
The All-Ireland final where Dublin faced off against Mayo was a tense ould watch.
In the end, Dublin pipped Mayo by just 1 point and, boy, was it close.
Although Mayo didn’t claim victory of the SAM, the hard-fighting team will have their grand homecoming in Mayo town this afternoon.
The team is due to arrive in Castlebar today and travel to McHale Park for the grand homecoming and they really deserve it after the battle they put up.
The Mayo team’s Twitter account said that the boys in green and red will arrive at 4:45pm with the park being opened to the public from 3:30pm.

Mayo captain, Cillian O’Connor, spoke at the banquet held in Dublin last night and said that the Dublin team were worthy champions.
Why?
Because they had beaten “great men” in the final.
We are sure there will be hundreds attending the homecoming tonight and there is always next year to fight for the SAM again.
Never give up hope…
