The caption on the stock image of this article, ‘Mature Parents Frustrated With Adult Son Living At Home’ sums up a LOT of Irish family living situations, but do you know just how many adults still live with their parents?
Well, it’s a heck of a lot, according to the latest Central Statistic Figures (CSO), who announced that almost 460,000 Irish adults are living at home, with 270,000 men, or 58.6% of the total, and 190,000 women aged 18 and over still cuckoo-ing.
Fun fact: The CSO figures also revealed that the peak age for getting a divorce was 53, so if you’ve made it past then we reckon you’re in the clear.
Go you.
