Day 2,140 of the 2018 heatwave. Please make it stop.
Nah, just joking, we love it really but there probably is something to be said for turning the temperature down just a tad.
While today wasn’t quite as hot as yesterday, it did reach 31.1 degrees in Shannon this afternoon, before falling to to 30.4 by 6pm. Another place which hit the thirties was Gurteen in Co. Tipperary while places to hit 29 included Athenry, Claremorris, and Newport in Co. Mayo.
