A campaign has been launched by the Union of Students in Ireland to help students get home on Friday to vote on the eighth referendum.
The USI is using the hashtag #VoterMotor online as well as a page on their website to help people coordinate lifts ahead of Friday’s vote.
Anyone needing a lift from Dublin airport #hometovote let me know! Don’t mind driving anywhere in Ireland if needed! #repealthe8th #thankyouforcominghome #motorvoter #votermotor

People can post lifts up to 10pm on Friday before the polling stations close.
The same hashtag was used in 2015’s Marriage Referendum which saw the largest youth voter turnout in the State’s history.
Be sound and offer a lift, if you can.
