In just over 36 hours Hurricane Ophelia will hit Irish shores and with red weather warnings already in place for five counties we could be in for a battering.
The storm is currently a category 3 hurricane which is traveling East North East – which is incredibly rare and Ireland has been put on alert.
The current hurricane cone has the centre of the storm hitting the South East Coast early on Monday morning…

It is perched right on the coast exactly where the storm is expected to make landfall. Trump has spoken about trying to build a wall in the past to protect the dunes and the golf course but there was fierce opposition to his plans.
