Let’s be honest, it hasn’t been the best start to Ireland’s 2019 Six Nations campaigns. The defeat to England was bad enough but losing some of our key players in the process is the kick we didn’t need while we were already down.
Following confirmation that CJ Stander will miss four weeks with a facial injury, our woes have increased with the news today that Garry Ringrose and Devin Toner have been ruled out of this Saturday’s match against Scotland. Both men were substituted during the England defeat with Ringrose suffering a hamstring injury and Toner aggravating an ankle.

On a positive note, Keith Earls is expected to be fit after struggling with a hip issue during Saturday’s match. With Ireland’s Grand Slam hopes now dashed, it will be imperative for Joe Schmidt’s men to dust themselves and try to get their Six Nations title hopes back on track.
The game away to Scotland takes place this Saturday at 2.15pm
