Dreaming of a white Christmas?
Temperatures are set to fall dramatically in Ireland soon.
Prepare to listen to your mam roar about the ‘heat getting out’ when you leave the door open for ten seconds.
Met Éireann is predicting a pretty chilly winter in Ireland and we’re already shivering just thinking about it.
Temperatures are set to drop in the coming weeks, The Irish Mirror reports.
According to forecasters, temperatures will range between 6C and 11C. This means Ireland will be as cold as Iceland this month.
Fabulous.
It’s been 12 years since we last had a white Christmas in Ireland, but forecasters believe things could change for winter 2022.
According to a forecaster in the UK, temperatures will also drop rapidly in December.
It could be as cold as -8 degrees which means the chances of it snowing are higher than usual.
Coral’s John Hill told Metro;
“The odds say it will be all white on the big day. Big chills are coming early this year.”
“We are less than 100 days away from Christmas now, and with temperatures set to fall rapidly over the upcoming days, the early odds suggest we could be set for a white Christmas this year.”
However, Met Éireann said we won’t be waking up to snowfall just yet so you can forget about stockpiling loo rolls and bread for now.
