Irishman Fighting For Life And Another Arrested After ‘Riddle Accident’ On British Motorway

An Irishman is fighting for his life after being hit by a truck on one of Britain’s busiest motorways yesterday. 

In what is being described as a ‘riddle accident’, another Irishman, from Co. Wicklow has been arrested for criminal damage. 

According to the Irish Mirror, traffic police in Stoke-on-Trent, Staffordshire arrived to find a man lying in a serious condition in the hard shoulder.

A police spokeswoman said:

“Just after 4.15am a pedestrian was in collision with a heavy goods vehicle close to Keele Services.

“The pedestrian received life-threatening injuries and was taken to the Royal Stoke University Hospital.

“A 32-year-old man, from County Wicklow in Ireland, believed to have been with the injured man before the collision, was arrested at the scene for criminal damage.

“Anyone who witnessed the collision should call Staffordshire Police on 101 quoting incident number 59 of June 29.”
