In this morning’s cabinet meeting it was decided that Ireland would appeal the the Apple tax ruling that was announced by the European Commission earlier this week.
The EU Commission ruled during the week that Ireland wouldn’t receive the €13 billion owed to us in taxes by tech-giant Apple, due to a previous tax deal between Ireland and Apple.

The entire thing sounded like one big mess but hopefully it will get sorted in The Dáil next week when they will gather again to pass a motion to go ahead with this appeal.
