It’s Not Looking Good On The Weather Front For Easter Weekend

James Fenton

You can never guarantee a decent long weekend in terms of weather and it looks like the upcoming Easter break is no different.

Today and tomorrow (Holy Thursday and Good Friday, in case you’ve forgotten) are set to be fairly dull and drizzly. There will be a few bright spells tomorrow afternoon but let’s just say we wouldn’t be reaching for the suncream just yet.

There is some good news as on Saturday things are set to pick up a little bit. According to Met Éireann:

“Holy Saturday is likely to be mainly dry with some sunny spells but scattered showers may affect the northern half of the country. Top temperatures of around 9 to 12 degrees in a moderate west to northwesterly breeze.”

The showers are set to be more prominent on Easter Sunday and Monday but temperatures will rise to around 14 or 15 degrees.

So, to summarise, it’s all looking a bit ‘meh.’ Roll on the May Bank Holiday.
