A large fire that has completely destroyed a family's 40-year-old crystal business in Belfast is now being treated as suspicious.

BBC News reports that Belfast Crystal factory in the Kennedy Way industrial was severely damaged by a blaze that broke out Saturday evening, with more than 40 firefighters dealing with the flames.

Police in Belfast are appealing for anyone with information or who saw any suspicious activity to come forward.

Owner Tony Abbate said years of hard work "through bad times, through good times" had "all gone in one night.

"I don't know what to do on Monday morning because there's nothing to come back to."
