Man Arrested After Starting A Fire In A School This Morning

Gardaí have arrested a 20-year-old man who broke into a school and started a fire in the early hours of this morning. 

The incident occurred in the town of Edenderry in Co. Offaly. The suspect damaged a number of windows at Edenderry Garda station before inflicting further damage on a filling station on Tullamore Road. 

He then broke into a local community school and started a small fire inside. 

Gardaí are appealing for anyone with information to contact Edenderry Garda Station on 046 973 1290.
