There’s more icy weather on the way after parts of the country had lows of 4°C last night.
We had a (mostly) great start to the weekend with temperatures reaching as high as 16°C in parts of the country on Saturday but it’s now turned much chillier.
It’s now expected to drop as low as 1°C in some places tonight.
A Met Éireann forecast said, “Sunday night will be mainly dry with clear spells and with northerly breezes easing. There’ll be a few showers on northwest coasts. Lowest temperatures 1°C to 4°C, with some frost in places.”
Parts of the country can also expect to see a lot of rain next week, mainly in the north and west.
They added, “A lot of dry weather for the period, but there will be some wet spells. Most of the rain is likely to fall in parts of north Connacht and west Ulster, with the driest conditions expected over Leinster and Munster.”
Better get that brolly out…
