Things are going from bad to worse, folks.
The weather this week has been fairly grim for the most part and to top it all off Met Éireann has this afternoon issued a status yellow weather warning for five counties.
The weather advisory is valid for the rest of Wednesday until 11.59pm on Thursday and applies to the counties of Donegal, Galway, Leitrim, Mayo and Sligo. It states that ‘persistent and occasionally heavy rain at times with a risk of localised flooding. Amounts will be highest in coastal areas and on hills and mountains.’

Usually with these warnings, they start off fairly localised before spreading across the country so be sure to keep an eye on the Met Éireann website for further updates.
