Met Éireann Issues THREE Weather Warnings As Horrible Outburst Continues

Lads, we don’t know about you but we could badly do with a sun holiday especially with all this rain.

(Oh btw, if you are interested in that sun holiday idea , this is the best time to go to get your value for money.)

Weather warnings are nothing new at this stage, we get one at least every three days in Ireland nowadays.

However, the weather seems to have really stepped it up a gear with Met Éireann issuing not one, not two but THREE weather warnings for Friday!

After all, three is a magic number but this weather we’ve been getting of late is anything but.

All three warnings are Status Yellow and apply to ten counties across Ireland.

The first is a Wind Warning for Galway, Mayo, Clare and Kerry

they say that: “From late morning through to Friday afternoon, southerly winds will reach mean speeds of 50 to 60 km/hr at times with gusts of 80 to 95 km/hr, strongest in coastal areas.”

This is in place until 6pm on Friday.

A Rainfall Warning is in place for Kilkenny, Wexford, Clare, Limerick and Tipperary
until 3pm with 25 to 30mm of rain expected with a risk of spot flooding.

A separate rainfall Warning is in place for Cork, Kerry and Waterford until 3pm also with 30 to 50 mm of rain expected the risk of spot flooding also.

Friday is a day for the ducks, basically.
