A Michael Jackson tribute show tour has cancelled all four of its Irish dates.
The Michael Jackson HIStory Show was set to come to four Irish venues in May: Cork Opera House, Vicar Street in Dublin, the Royal Theatre and Event Centre in Castlebar and Limerick’s University Concert Hall.
The hugely popular Australian production has been touring the world for the past five years, though questions were raised over its future after it was revealed that that management at Cork Opera House were “in talks with the promoter of this show”.
The late singer has been the subject of a huge amount of controversy following the release of the explosive Leaving Neverland documentary last week.
It addresses child abuse allegations against Michael Jackson and features interviews with two of his accusers.
Wade Robson and James Safechuck, now in their 30s, claim they befriended the musician when they were aged seven and 10 respectively and were then sexually abused by him.
The tour cancellation was confirmed by Ticketmaster, who said, ‘Showtime Australia, the producers of Michael Jackson HIStory Show have cancelled the upcoming tour of Ireland in May 2019.
‘Ticket refunds can be sought from the authorised outlet where purchased.’

The show stars Michael Jackson impersonator Dantanio who performs the singer’s greatest hits.
It’s not yet known whether the Canadian leg of the tour, which was scheduled to follow the Irish tour, will still go ahead.
