A new study has revealed the wealthiest and poorest areas in Ireland.
The electoral area within Dublin city centre that includes Grafton Street and Leinster House is the richest part of the country, while ‘John’s A’ on the northside of Limerick is the most deprived.
Other parts of West and North Dublin were also rated as ‘very disadvantaged’.
The study (known as the ‘Deprivation Index’) was based on data collected during last year’s census.
It took into account various factors including employment and education levels.
